Meet the Photographer

My name is Haydee and I was born and raised in "La Isla Bonita" – San Pedro – Ambergris Caye, Belize. My island roots have greatly influenced my creativity and passion for photography. When you grow up surrounded by rich cultures and picturesque views, you start to see the world from a unique perspective. What started as a hobby eventually lead to a professional career in photography.

My first step into the industry...


My first step into the photograph industry came when I enrolled at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, where I graduated with A Bachelor's degree in Commercial Photography. While completing my studies, I was fortunate enough to be mentored by world class photographers in South Florida. It was through my internships that I fell in love with wedding photography.


Opening Haydee Lu Studio has been an amazing adventure. I value nothing more than being able to do what I love and share experiences with likeminded individuals. I am truly blessed to be doing this in one of my favourite places in the world – HOME.
